Lilies in heaven

This was a delight to paint for a client, who is also a friend, to capture lily pads on a pond with an ethereal quality. I achieved this using layers of blues and greens, then metallics and a soft glow.

The final result looked beautiful in all lights, with a transparent shimmer.
